The residential management committee responsible for 8 large town houses located in the Highgate Village conservation area commsioned us to design and install a future proofed EV charge point solution that met the strict design aesthetic of the conservation area.
Located in the Highgate Village conservation area and with limited parking space available we had to design a solution that would allow EV drivers to charge their vehicles within their dedicated parking bays which were located over 50m from the properties themselves. The design of the installation had to remain in keeping with the aesthetic of the conservation area and ensure that no space was lost within the parking bays themselves.
Following discussions with the residents and their management committee we designed and installed 6 7.2kW smart charging points, one for each property along with the infrastructure for charging points in the 2 remaining bays.
We designed and commissioned bespoke mounting posts for the charge points that allowed the units themselves to be mounted securely on the kerb rather than using a concrete pad that would take up space in the parking bays.
By offering a full turn-key solution including all electrical connections, civils and design work we were able to supply and install the right charging solution for the homeowners that would allow them to charge their vehicles at home overnight whilst also ensure the installation itself was in keeping with the conservation area.
